FROZEN FOOD
The freezer can vastly expand your dining options, and we are not talking about Stouffer’s and Hot Pockets (though I'm thrilled they support the site!) After that fun weekend away when you get back on Sunday night, haven’t gone shopping and you are resenting your pet for being able to live on canned food, you suddenly remember there is a strip steak, a pork tenderloin and even some shrimp in the freezer...you are good for the week!  This also allows you to save a ton of money by stocking up on meat when it is on sale. We even find steak sometimes tastes better when it has been frozen. I think it has to do with the moisture all being pulled out which gives a stronger flavor, or maybe it ages in there...not sure. There are also some vegetables that freeze quite nicely and again can truly save you when you don’t have time to buy something fresh.

Here’s what a well-stocked freezer might look like:

1 pack of split chicken breasts, skin-on, bone-in (essential to maintain flavor)
1 steak (london broil, sirloin, strip steak)
2 lb bag of shrimp (seems fancy but this can make 3-4 meals)
1 box of green beans
2 bags of spinach
2 bag of baby peas
1 bag of baby limas
2 lbs of butter (we never claimed this was a healthy site)
